Certification from The Ministry of Health (MoH)
Wellink Trust meets all legal requirements under the Health and Disability Services (Safety) Act 2001. To assure the Ministry of Health that we are doing this Wellink undergoes audits against the Health and Disability Services Standard 8134: 2008 and when the designated auditing agency has confirmed to the MoH that Wellink meets the set standard MoH sends certification.
Wellink has recently had a certification audit carried out by HDANZ who are approved by the Director General of Health to audit all services covered by the Health and Disability Services (Safety) Act 2001. Wellink received certification from the MoH from September 2009 until September 2011.
Accreditation Quality Health New Zealand (QHNZ)
Wellink has also gained Accreditation with Quality Health NZ. Accreditation is gained by achieving standards set by the designated auditing agency. Accreditation audits for Wellink are focused on the clinical practices of the services we provide and on the quality of the systems used to support the provision of these services.
These audits are carried out by health professionals and managers with expertise in the mental health field.
Consistent improvements mark Wellink Audits
The downloadable report shows the audit outcomes from certification (& accreditation) audits of Wellink Trust against the past Health and Disability Sector Standards 8134:2001 and the new Health and Disability Services Standard 8134:2008, changed in 2006.
This shows the consistent trend of increased improvement both in service delivery and in organisational systems and management between audits.
It also shows that with each audit Wellink is achieving full attainment of the standards at an increasing rate. This top achievement was gained for the comprehensive evaluation framework and outcome focused tools recently designed and implemented throughout Wellink Trust.
