About Wellink - Governance - Consumer Governance

The Consumer Steering Group (CSG) has evolved out of what was formerly the Consumer Participation Team, which was established in 1998 to provide a Wellink service user voice on decisions, strategies, policies and practice within Wellink.

The objectives of the Consumer Steering Group are to:

  • Maintain links with Wellink service users
  • Ensure service planning and development is directed by service users
  •  Identify gaps and propose innovative solutions for services
  • Be involved in evaluation mechanisms to ensure recovery and continuous quality improvement practices are implemented
  • Provide advice on policy development and review
  • Provide two members to the Board of Trustees
  • Provide feedback from CSG to the Board and vice versa
